Brysen Wright is already making a name for himself in more than one version of football.
Wright has emerged as an elite high school prospect while also becoming one of the country’s most accomplished young flag football players.
NFL FLAG lists Wright as a 2025 NFL FLAG Player of the Year, presented by Toyota, following his success with Jaguars Elite.
Wright helped Jaguars Elite capture a national championship and starred at the NFL FLAG Championships in Canton, Ohio. NFL FLAG praised his athleticism, hands and ability to deliver in crucial situations.
Those skills have translated pretty well to traditional football.
Wright is a five-star prospect who has drawn attention as a big-play receiving threat. At more than 6-foot-3 and approximately 210 pounds, he possesses the size and athleticism to create matchup problems for defensive backs.
247Sports has described Wright as an “aerial specialist” with an ability to turn contested catches heavily in his favor. His combination of leaping ability, coordination and strength allows him to make plays in traffic and along the sideline.
He’s also dangerous after the catch and has experience playing safety on defense.
Wright’s flag football résumé shouldn’t be overlooked, either. Jaguars Elite won the 14U championship at the 2025 NFL FLAG Championships, beating Showtime in the title game.
The NFL FLAG honor further demonstrated that Wright’s football ability isn’t limited to his size.
NFL FLAG described him as a natural competitor and leader who routinely elevates the players around him.
So while Wright’s future appears headed toward Saturdays and potentially much bigger stages beyond that, he’s already built quite the résumé without helmets and pads.
Turns out five-star talent plays pretty well in flag football, too.
